The Royal wedding is the hottest trend in the world at the moment, wedding couples are going to be taking inspiration for years to come, searching the internet trying to find the dress, the flowers, the invites, the music everything that brought the world to tears of happiness.
When learning months ago what the royal wedding cake was going to be made out of, we started creating new recipes and flavours to complement this trend. But until the special day, we could only imagine what Meghan and Harry had chosen for there cake design. Believe me, it did not disappoint.
Regnier Cakes wanted to recreate this cake, with the suppliers we use, as well as the current venue and styling trends for the everyday Australian wedding couple. The Perfect Royal wedding cake with our Aussie touch.
To Start this recreation we needed to start with adding touches from my own heritage, using great grandma’s hand made vintage table cloth, grandma’s tea cup’s straight from England. Then combining the touches of gold, amazing fresh flowers, jasmine all set in our beautiful garden. The cakes finished in rough buttercream, fresh flowers and inside vanilla sponge cake with a elderflower syrup and lemon curd filling.
